Born in western coast jungles in Africa by a couple from England, John Clayton was adopted as an infant by ape Kala after his parents were muredered by the savage king ape called Kerchak, Clayton was renamed to Tarzan ( which means 'White Skin' in the ape language') and he was raised among apes with complete ignorance of his human heritage.
